Clear coats last ONLY 1 year usually. They are easy to apply since they are clear and you do not have to worry about streaks, runs, dripping, or splotches. The downside is they are about the SAME price as semi-transparent and solid stains, so why are you wasting your time and money if you are going to have to do it again NEXT YEAR?!
